Ken Heebner again on CNBC this week
By Rob | June 16, 2008
I think a lot of people made serious money with Krispy Kreme (KKD) since the time i wrote about it. Feel free to take some off the table, that was a spectacular run and we did it right.
Similarly to Krispy Kreme, I am looking at Martha Steward(MSO) which sort-a took a beating last week, however, it has good management team and well-targeted strategy.
In addition, I took a look at a few stem-cell companies I like and it suprised me how much the talk about oil and energy, industrials and aggries has almost left these future high-fliers behind.
Also, I am still bullish on platinum, palladium and rhodium over the long run. North American Palladium (PAL) is starting to stabilize, although still remains a volatile stock. It is my pick in this environment and I am waiting for a close over $6 to start buying.
Last, Mark Faber this weekend talked about buying airlines, despite the fact they are horrible businesses. However, while still looking for airlines to bottom, why not take a look at Boing(BA) which has fallen quite a bit since its all-time high?
Ken Heebner was again on CNBC this week, highlighting some important trends in the marketplace. Last Friday I recommended a friend of mine two of his funds, so most likely we are going to hear a lot more about Ken in the future. I like his business-like approach and no BS attitude.
