Population growth, oil, war and leadership

This is a rather stunning view of world population growth. I want you to study it and think what it means for our future. Is it sustainable? At this point are we past the peak in standard of living or working up towards one? Are there enough natural resources on the planet for everyone? Can we afford to elect leadership that is blind to progress and is stuck on polluting the planet even more?
